Serena Chandler

Serena Chandler’s family was one of the first to move to the Polo Grounds in October, 1967 a few months before the development officially opened.

She is the Founder of the Rose Brown Resource Center, Resident Action Community Empowerment, Nanny’s Kitchen and several other community-based programs that serve Harlemites and others.

Mrs. Chandler has served as the Sgt at Arms on the Resident Association, she is currently running for President of the Resident Association and frequently organizes healthcare, employment, food, and other resources events.

In her role as advisor, Ms. Chandler serves to direct Positivity Market events, fundraising, as well as local, city, and state advocacy through her wide network of partners.
